IOC Snapshot Intraoral Camera Manual for Dexis 10

In this example, I’ll configure IOC Snapshot to support two different intraoral cameras: the Perfect Cam and the Woodpecker Camera. The Blue Camera button will be assigned to the Perfect Cam, while the Green Camera button will be assigned to the Woodpecker Camera. This setup is ideal for computers with two different intraoral cameras, allowing users to easily switch between them by selecting the corresponding camera button in IOC Snapshot.

1. Install the IOC Snapshot software. If you need a link for the download, it is:

https://iocsnapshot.com/IOC_Snapshot.exe

At the end of the installer you will see this window with checkmark boxes as options. Checkmark the Green camera as the Blue Camera will already be checkmarked.

Enter in the license key when you see this window. If you would like to use a trial key, this one is good for 2 weeks.

2. Now we are going to configure the Blue and Green Cameras. They have icons in the system tray. Each program needs to be told what camera you are using and what program you are using.

Right click the Blue Camera and go to Dexis and select T and SPACE. Repeat this for the Green Camera.

Right click the Blue Camera and go to Select Camera and select PERFECT CAM.

Repeat this for the Green Camera except choose the WOODPECKER KP CAMERA.

Now both the Blue and Green camera have been configured.

3. Configure Dexis 10 to use the camera. Open Dexis 10, right-click on the black background and go to Preferences.

Click on Video Acquisition. Change the Primary Device to Any Device and click the OK button. If you do NOT see a live image from the camera, uncheck the VMR9 Rendering checkmark box.

4. Click the Intraoral Camera icon that looks similar to a wand in the toolbar.

5. Now click the icon that looks like a circle to open the DexVideo module. You may now use the camera to take images. The capture button on the camera will snap a photo. When finished, close the window.

If your resolution seems incorrect, check the resolution as newer Dexis 10 doesn’t always use the highest resolution for a camera. Click the wrench icon at the top right, and properties for the current camera will appear. Keep clicking OK until you find the Properties for the Capture Pin and check the Output Size.

6. Now you may assign teeth numbers to the image or use AutoNumber.
