IOC Snapshot Intraoral Camera Manual for Dentrix Imaging Center

In this example, I’ll configure IOC Snapshot to support Intraoral Cameras that support Still Pin Hardware Triggering. The Blue Camera button will be assigned to the Virtual Camera. This setup is ideal for computers with two or more intraoral cameras that all utilize a Still Pin for Hardware Triggering. Many cameras in the industry support Hardware Triggering and for this specific example I will choose the Carestream CS-1500 UVC Camera.

1. Install the IOC Snapshot software. If you need a link for the download it is:

Enter in the license key when you see this window. If you would like to use a trial key, this one is good for 2 weeks.

2. After the installation, you will see the Blue camera icon in your system tray. Right-click it and select Dentrix and then Dentrix Imaging Center.

Now the Blue camera needs to be told what camera it will be using. Right click the Blue camera and go to Select Camera and select VIRTUAL CAMERA.

3. When inside of Dentrix Imaging Center, click on Acquire Images, scroll down the procedures to 2D Oral/Facial Photo Images. Change the Acquisition method to Generic Intraoral Camera. Then click Proceed with Acquisition.

4. Configure the camera source. Click the camera icon in the bottom right, and select Virtual Camera.

4. Use the capture button on the camera to take images. When finished click Assign Images and then Begin Uploading.
